Lakehead Airways now provides a valuable link between remote northern destinations and all scheduled airline flights operating in and out of Thunder Bay.  With our Amphibious Cessna Caravn we have the ability to provide seamless connections for groups who originate out of many USA departure points such as Chicago and New York.  Guests for example can depart Chicago or New York in the morning, arrive in Thunder Bay late morning or early afternoon and then connect with the float plane direct to your remote lodge or outpost.

Now guests can fly scheduled airlines into Thunder Bay via Toronto from Chicago / New York or dozens of other US departure points. Flights arrive late morning and early afternoon. With our seamless connection at the Thunder Bay Airport guests arrive at their lodge or outpost camp that afternoon.

Corporate Trips With Clients or Key Employees

Corporate clients can fly company aircraft or corporate charter direct to Thunder Bay.  Immediately after clearing customs, they can board our Amphibious Caravan for direct flight to the lodge or outpost.  They are on the lake fishing within just a few hours of leaving home.

Our De Havilland Beaver will operate from the float plane base located in the Current River area of Thunder Bay. They can park their car in our spacious lot and be on their way to their next fishing adventure in no time.Perfect for groups of 4.
