Weagamow First Nations is an Indigenous community located in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. It is situated approximately 600 kilometers (370 miles) north of Pickle Lake . Weagamow, also known as Round Lake, is one of the remote First Nations communities in the region.
The community is primarily inhabited by members of the Oji-Cree First Nation. Oji-Cree is an Indigenous group with strong ties to the land and a rich cultural heritage. The residents of Weagamow First Nations have a deep connection to their ancestral traditions, language, and way of life.
Like many other remote First Nations communities in Northern Ontario, Weagamow faces various challenges due to its geographical isolation.
